moromori7 is a platform that promotes the work of visual contemporary artists, within a program of residencies, work production, exhibitions and especial events in collaboration with institutions and cultural spaces.

Moromori has an art editorial signature with a collaborative character between graphic and ceramic workshops, which edit and produces multiples in different formats and techniques. The editions come from the work process made with the artists promoted.

Biography of Belén Moro Mori

Argentina, 1980

Lives in Mexico since 2005. Graduated in Arts and Arts’ Professor at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC), Argentina as well as in Cultural Policies and Art Management, at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Mexico.

Director and editor of Moromori. Additionally, develops cultural projects in collaboration with cultural institutions, for instance, an exhibition to celebrate the anniversary of the Art Visuals Management at UAM and a solo by Ariel Orozco in Spencer Brownstone gallery in New York.

In 2013, coordinated the project Copia Múltiple, with financial support given by the National Institute of Fine Arts of Mexico (INBA); and in 2012 a Workshop of Cultural Objects’ Production, with the Community of Teenage Women in Conflict with Law, with the support from FONCA and the prize C.A.C.A.O, 2013.

Since 2011 collaborates with UAM in the register and control of its artistic and cultural heritage, where has developed the tools for its expansion and management.  From 2008 through 2011 she was head of Myto, Gallery of Contemporary Art; and from 2006 through 2008 she worked at Museo Nacional de la Estampa as collection researcher and curatorial assistant.

Some of the curatorial projects are Península, Galería Metropolitana (UAM), 2013; Ser o no Sur, in the Argenmex Festival, Museo José Luis Cuevas, 2013; Guajiro caminando entre gotas de asfalto, Casa Rafael Galván (UAM), 2013; Paisajismo1, Galería Domicilio conocido, 2012; Taller Acontecimientos creativos, Laboratorio Arte Alameda, 2009; Pasajes de la Distopía, Museo Nacional de la Estampa, 2007.

Has also coordinated several books edition, such as the catalogue Ser o no Sur, Argentine Embassy in Mexico and National Coordination of Visual Arts of Mexico (INBA), 2013-2014; Todos los cauce le cauce, visual memory of the Visual Arts Managment UAM 2010-2012, published in 2013; Ariel orozco, Myto gallery and Trilce Editions, Mexico, 2012.

Has practiced teaching in Mexico and Argentina, mostly in workshops at museums (Museum of Contemporary Arts, UNAM; Laboratorio Arte Alameda, INBA) and public cultural spaces (Casa Vecina, Fundación Centro Histórico), between others). –

Artistic works has been exhibited individually and collectively in Mexico, Capilla abierta, Centro Cultural Border, 2012; Tácticas, Centro de la Imagen, 2007 and Paisaje discontinuo, Museo Nacional de la Estampa, 2006; y en Córdoba Tres lugares ordinarios, 2008 and Siendo la Realidad…sólo la Imagen, 2004, both at CepIA (UNC), Argentina.

In 2009 created a designer brand, Jacal, that produces utilitarian items using popular Mexican materials.
